TOSHIBA Exif JPEGThe above title (from a favorite Enigma album) is an action plan in three words. Whenever I listen to this particular cut of music, I close my eyes, the lyrics helping me to get in touch with this reservoir that I call self love.

I sometimes have the same challenges that my clients tell me about — “I am so busy doing all the time, I don’t have time for me. “Ahhhh” I respond (knowing that I am also a guilty part to busy-ness.) “Let’s talk about everything you are doing, put that list aside, and then make a list of what brings you true happiness, exciting energy…the passion you keep burying because there is always so much to do!”

And then, if you choose, you can sift through all of the items and decide what is most important to you.

And then, if you choose, you can create an achievable passionate action plan based on your priorities.

And then, if you want or need support to reach your goals, I am here for you. And, I would bet, that there are many persons in your life who would create that support — IF you chose to ask them. (Why are we so reticent about asking for help, anyway?!)

Turning inwards, you can re-analyze, re-discover, re-generate — all of the concepts which refuel your life’s journeys. You can, if you wish, practice the art of ‘returning to yourself.’

This article can be used as a concise framework for you to consciously explore what’s working for you and what isn’t. For instance, what are your buried passions? Are you confused about how to reach your goals, successes, whatevers? Are you spending lengthy amounts of time spinning your wheels, stuck in the present moment? Or in the past? Do you feel like there is some thing or some one trying to interfere with the momentous vision you hold for yourself?

I credit several of my successes to attending many women’s retreats, especially those in Montana, that provided the visionary spaces to open wide, where I could escape from all of life’s demands and be in a safe circle of women who challenged me to reach into that sometimes-scary self that keeps my engine running. Because I can appreciate the value of escaping from every-day life at home or work, I am providing a women’s retreat at Tucker House Inn (a #1 B & B) on San Juan Island, exactly for that purpose — to create a sacred space where twelve women can find that blessed quiet time to get clear and focused about where they are now and what their next steps are. The dates are February 20th to the 22nd, Friday evening through Sunday mid day.

There is more information about this special gathering on my site (sharonhooper.com). However, I wish for you, this week, to start making that passion list of your own. You don’t have to do anything with it except to get in touch with that often-neglected soul’s yearning to live the life that tugs at you unexpectedly. You know…the silent voice that says now is the time; and then you can add the words, I don’t have to do this alone. What is your vision?
